The most easiest way to remote control your preamps with the RGC-24A-M is via computer. Our control software is available as standalone version (Windows), and also as VST plugin for a wide variety of DAW software, e.g. SAC (Software Audio Console).
VST Plugin
The plugin allows remote gain control of up to 48 channels (two RGC-24A-M's), directly from your favorite DAW software. It supports full "Scene Recall" (all settings can be saved to different "Scenes" and later be recalled) as well as "Channel Linking" (links the gain knobs of two channels together, e.g. to control stereo signals). After gain adjustment is done, the window can be minimized to save screen space, and it can be instantly restore when it's needed.

The RGC-24A-M can be controlled with Behringer's BCR2000 MIDI controller. We've made a template for that, which enables you to control up to four RGC's (96 channels total) with one BCR2000.
Presets für BCR2000
The presets are delivered as MIDI SysEx files. You can download them to the BCR2000 with any program of your choice which is able to send SysEx files, e.g. Behringer's B-CONTROL EDIT (see next section). Please refer to the documentation deliverd Behringer's examples (e.g. "Simple Mixer") on how to send SysEx files to the BCR2000 controller.
Installation of Behringer's B-CONTROL EDIT
The template (aka parameter file) can be sent to the BCR2000 using Behringer's B-CONTROL EDIT software. CAUTION: This requires a rather old version of Java, namely 1.4.2_05 to run smoothly (newer Java versions causes the program to crash with "Timeout error"). The old version can be obtained directly from Oracle. It can be installed in parallel with any newer version, but you have to take care to start B-CONTROL EDIT using the appropriate java version - this is best done by invoking the program explicitly via java.exe. The command line should read similar to this:
"C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_05\bin\java.exe" -jar "C:\Program Files\BCR2000\bcedit.jar"
