Finally here... a reasonably priced digital multicore system!
Many customers asked about a multi-channel version of our popular ADAT/TOSLINK Extender. After evaluating our customer's needs and lots of engineering, we are proud to present a new generation of digital multicore systems. The working pricinple remains the same simple thing: Four ADAT Lightpipe connections are transmitted over a single Cat.5 network cable. Depending on the configuration, you can transmit 32 or even 64 channels and an additional wordclock signal over one or two Cat5 cables. The transmission direction (send or receive) can be individually chosen for each ADAT connection. Choose between the 32 channel version ADX-32 to build a 24/8 multicore or the 64 channel version ADX-64 to build a 48/16 multicore. All other send/receive combinations like 16/16, 64/0 and so on are also possible. But there's even more: multiple devices can be daisy-chained together for more complex setups (like multi-room distribution, additional monitoring or recording).

ADAT / TOSLINK Extender enables you to send digital audio signals up to 100 meters / 328 feet in distance, using a standard Cat5 network cable. Without any kind of compression or other potentially sound-degrading conversions, the input signal is 100% bitwise transmitted in real time to the output. Ideally suited for connecting your PC to your HiFi equipment, for upgrading your network cabling to a true HiFi-capable sound bridge, or to listen to music in uncompromising quality anywhere you can reach with standard network cabling. Or use the extender in your recording studio as a cheap ADAT Lightpipe extension. By using multiple extenders, you can even build an inexpensive digital multicore at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions! |
